Sunday Musing

What I once may have taken for granted. A father dedicated to my productive growth. Mentally, physically and wholesomely a dad committed to a humble home.

As I grew into a mother myself, I began to see beyond the clouds. Not just their reasons for all my woes but rather the dreams they (mom and dad) held a flame for. 🔥

All while harnessing my personal goals.

Good dads are quite an influence. Without realizing it, they shape the minds of their young.

A boy shall view his father as the man he should grow up to be.

A daughter will view that version of her hero as the man she should search for in her partnerships.

Influences unknown and unseen.

We may feel as though we do nothing.

Even the smallest of deeds and actions

Shall impact your young like dynamite.

You take such a massive topic as fatherhood and compact it neatly and amazingly into an easily digestible gem of wisdom! Thanks for this one — I needed the motivation for my daily daddying! 😅

My mother had to play both parts for most of my childhood (a devoted mother and a courageous father).

It’s unfortunate that good men are so hard to find, it reminds me of that poem.

    Strong men create good times,
    Good times create weak men,
    Weak men create bad times,
    Bad times create strong men.
