Blame Game

She may have pissed him off.

BUT

A glass jar.

Laundry soap.

Cigarettes ….

Vodka and OJ…

are NOT

Worth more …

Than someone’s life.

There is an age old saying:

It doesn’t matter how angry a woman makes a man, you do NOT lift a finger in anger at her.

None the less a full on blow to her face.

Numerous hits at that.

Pulling hair.

Punches to her head.

Body, arms, hands, legs and back.

Slaps.

Knees

Kicks

Chokes

Bites!

For, woman bring life, breath and existence.

They ARE

Mother

Daughter

Sister

….

Lover

To be cherished and honored.

As we honor our sacred Mother Earth.

ONLY

This was not anger.

This was intent to kill.

Did he feel remorse?

He would have shown. Checked up.

Did he wonder …

In those first few days?

He exhibited nothing

Other than his lack of concern.

All talk and no actions.

Empty promises.

And

“Productive conversations”

That led to contradictory intentions .

Did he wake up?

Snap out of his trance?

Realize his wrongdoing?

Understand.…

His actions….Inappropriate?

Can he even answer these questions….

The depth of character is determined by the way a man tends.

His gardens

His cars

His woman

His priorities.

Did he?

He chose

To hurt those he loved the most.

Letting down the ONE that loved HIM the most.

After it was all said and done.

He walked around stating it was all her fault.

  1. Dr. Thomas Maples says:

Powerfully written. The abuser blames because they cannot bear the shame of looking at themselves in the mirror. Narcissism at its finest. If they look too deep, the darkness crashes upon there infinitely small nature that stands in direct opposition to there grotesquely inflated egos. This was dark, but needs to be shared. For the darkness of abuse, no matter whom the perpetrator, needs to be brought to light. That is the only way it ceases for the victim, the perpetrator, and society at large. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to more!
